2014-06-11 07.53.57Every Tuesday I post a list of the poems I read for my year-long poetry reading goal. I welcome anyone who wants to join me in reading more poetry this year.

The poems for this week were taken from Poems to Learn by Heart  by Caroline Kennedy. These were from the sections titled The World Is So Full of a Number of Things & Extra Credit.

The World by William Brighty Rands

from The Canterbury Tales, General Prologue by Geoffrey Chaucer

The following poems are from Shel Silverstein’s Where the Sidewalk Ends.

EIGHTEEN FLAVORS

POOR ANGUS

WHAT A DAY

There are only a few weeks of poems left in Caroline Kennedy’s Poems to Learn by Heart. Can you believe that we’ve gone through the whole book? We began last June.

I will be on the lookout for another book of poetry. It will need to be a compilation collection. These are good because you see work from many different sources and authors. If anyone has a suggestion, recommendation, or request in regards to book or poetry type please leave a comment.
